Dr. Syed Asad
Physician | Medical Doctor
Formerly the Section Chief of Neurology at Baptist Medical Center, Dr. Asad decided to start an Independent Neurology Clinic. He completed Medical School at the Dow University of Health Sciences. He trained in Nuclear medicine at the Harvard medical school joint program of Nuclear medicine in Boston and is board certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. He trained in Neurology at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta and is Board Certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Aside from this, Dr. Asad is well versed in a number of symposiums, seminars, and certifications with major names such as: Harvard, Mayo Clinic and WJCT to name a few. With experience as a Captain in the United States Army Reserves, Medical Corp. he understands what it takes to be an efficient leader and care giver.
Annie has been the Practice Manager for Universal Neurological Care since its inception in June 2015. She grew up in Denver, CO and Augusta, GA but has also lived in Boston, MA and Atlanta, GA. She received her undergraduate degree in Health Administration. She earned her Master’s degree in Business Administration from UNF in 2010. Her professional and educational experiences have helped her better understand administration and governance.
Zlatan Pecar (Z)
Z was born in Bosnia and later moved to the United States in 2000. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology in December 2010. In May of 2015, he received his Associate in Science in Nursing. After successfully completing his NCLEX boards, he joined our team in September of 2015 as a Registered Nurse. At UNC, he works with the providers with assessing and managing new and follow up patients.
Aysha is our front desk medical receptionist. Born and raised in London England, Aysha currently resides in Jacksonville Florida with her husband Salik and her four children. Aysha's bubbly personality and caring nature helps her provide the highest standard of patient-centered care. Showing a proven ability to deal with all aspects of front office duties she is able to handle competing demands professionally and efficiently and always with a smile on her face.
Sydney was born and raised in the Jacksonville area. She attended the University of North Florida and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Sydney is currently working towards attending graduate school so that she can further her career in medicine. Beginning as a volunteer, Sydney has now become the research coordinator for Universal Neurological Care.
