Traditionally, memory clinics focus on people with cognitive impairment with an effort to identify reversible causes of memory loss and to slow down neurodegenerative categories of memory loss (such as Alzheimer’s disease). We also focus on people with normal cognition who are looking to enhance their memory because they are in demanding professions or positions that require greater cognitive aptitude.

Thankfully, most head trauma results in short lived and completely reversible signs and symptoms. However, in some situations, individuals who have sustained head injury can have persistent headaches, insomnia, cognitive difficulties, emotional changes, balance deficits, etc. We focus on identifying and treating their symptoms and recommending appropriate accommodations and restrictions to help their brains completely heal from the energy crisis that ensues after head trauma along with directing a comprehensive rehab program.
Head trauma related to sports injuries, motor vehicle accidents, environmental or occupational injuries, assaults, etc.
Headaches are a common condition. 97% of the population experiences tension headaches. At least 33 million people in the US suffer from migraine headaches. And there are many other less common headaches such as cluster headaches, hemicranias, trigeminal neuralgia, primary stabbing headaches, occipital neuralgias, various types of secondary headaches, etc. While most individuals can manage milder or less frequent headaches with their primary physicians, we specialize in the more refractory and debilitating headache conditions.
